1. Measure the length of your shaft from the throat of the nock to the end of the shaft without the insert. Put this number in Total Length

2. Take a knife blade or other thin rail and balance the arrow on this object. Mark the arrow where this point lies. Measure the arrow from the throat of the nock to this point. Put this number in Balance Point
